Based on a true story crime drama that highlighted the ubiquitous corruption in Egypt soon after the Arab Spring that originated in Tunisia. For a foreigner, eye opening sights and sound of Cairo, such as the street prayers. Though the script, sets, cinematography, sound etc are not up to Hollywood standard, it is a bold political statement in that part of the world. And the main man Fares Fares, with many major roles in international films as in “Department Q” and “Tyrant,” was most engaging, wearing an intense disillusioned face as a trapped man playing his part in a kleptocracy.
