I enjoyed watching this movie because it shows that a child named Mary is a mathematical genius. In this movie, Mary is a first-grader who struggles to blend in to be a normal child. Her classmates are barely learning to add 1 plus 1 while she is learning about mathematical integral equations. ****The best part of the movie is where Mary solves a complex mathematical problem from Professor Shanklin. After this scene, Mary's life gets complicated because the judicial court places Mary in a foster home.****In this movie, there are several questions. In terms of a gifted child, is it better to be sociable with your classmates or is it better to dedicate yourself to rigorous academic life? In the movie, Mary's uncle wanted Mary to have a regular kid's life. Secondly, was it better for Mary to live with her grandmother. Mary's grandma was wealthy and could place Mary in the best schools and provide the best math tutors.
