This is really a complementary book to Nicholas Shaxon's outstanding book, Treasure Islands - - this one by Mr. Bullough fills in some of the details, et cetera.
Rich in detail, complete in conveying the crucial facts for required understanding.
The author writes the German-British financier, Siegmund Warburg, led the way as a prime mover in the offshore world. The writer may be correct in his assessment, but I've also read of the little-known attorney, Marshall Langer, who paved the way in establishing Bermuda, the Bahamas and Cayman Islands as offshore center sites - - so was this independent of Warburg, or following Warburg's lead, or connected to Warburg? Would be interesting to find the score. Also, there was a William Langer involved in setting up financial systems and budgets at the CIA int he 1950s and early 1960s - - although I've been unable to establish a family relation between William and Marshall, I wonder if they are related given the surnames?
Great book!
