Funny book with great illustrations. Would be good to have the children predict who was "stealing" the drawings.

A fun story about chalk characters who draw flowers, but somehow, their flowers keep disappearing. They investigate and discover the eraser is to blame. It turns from an investigation into a moment of exploring what it means to be chalk versus an eraser and how they can still coexist.

Easily one of the best chalk-related stories I've ever read, this story has some shades of the three little pigs. Rather than being attacked by the story's antagonist, though, the little sticks of chalk work together to catch the culprit who has been destroying their art. Along the way, though, they find a new friend in someone they quickly labeled an enemy.

Seems a bit of a knock-off on the hugely popular Oliver Jeffer's crayon books (The Day the Crayons Quit, etc) but lacking the cleverness. Not a very inspired story and readers above the pre-k level may not find it very interesting.
