"Whether reminiscing about her days as a contract chemist at GlaxoSmithKline, telling 'dirty' jokes to Mormons, feeling like the odd man out on Parks, fending off racist trolls on Twitter, flirting with Michael Fassbender, expertly stalking the cast of Hamilton, or glamming it up on the set, Retta's voice is unique and refreshing"--Front jacket flap.

As a fan of Parks and Rec fan I am obsessed with Donna Meagle who taught us all to treat ourselves. This book was also a treat. I felt like I spent time with Retta and got to know so much about her journey. Her writing style is funny, laid back and totally her. This is a great read for fans looking to learn more about a national treasure!

I "discovered" Retta in 2000 when I was watching an episode of Premium Blend on Comedy Central. I belly laughed during her entire routine and knew I was a fan for life.

This audiobook (read by her which makes it even more amazing!!!) is HILARIOUS! Sitting alone in my car laughing out loud (so loud people walking by my car can hear me) - tears running down my face - my cheeks are starting to hurt - I think I might pee my pants type of HILARIOUS. It was just the comic relief I needed at the start and end of my day.
