At first glance this book looks like a cookbook, because it is but its so much more. The title is kinda like a double entendre. Yes feed the people in the resistance of systematic oppression, but I also think it calls on us to resist oppression on a personal level too. It calls on us to reflect how we act towards one another and correct any hurtful or oppressive behaviors.

It asks us to resist feeding that instant gratification urge some of us might have for instance
to cut ahead of someone in line instead of waiting our turn. It reminds us that even a "small" abuse of power is still an abuse and creates a karmic debt that must be paid eventually. Even if you think no one will notice ( someone always does) even if you think your actions aren't really hurting anyone (that aint true either boo boo).

My favorite aspect of this book is that it directs the reader to reflect on any kind of hypocritical behavior they are engaging in and challenges them to do better. How you gonna run around getting on other folks for something you do too?

I think the biggest take away from this book is this you can read all the books you want on resisting injustice, but if you don't try to act on what you've read did you really learn anything at all?
