Rose introduces readers to police dogs and their handlers in the United States, Canada, Britain, and France, where their group's official name translates as "the dog lover unit." Now Rose reveals the feats that these human and canine teams accomplish, and the emotional and physical risks that they take for one another, and for us.

Rachel Rose is a poet, not an investigative reporter. I found her stuff easy to read, and it was very emotional. Definitely not for someone who wants a clinical presentation of police dogs.
