A warm and engaging look at all the different ways that rescue dogs, those who are getting a "second chance" at life itself, can enrich our own lives and teach us important lessons. The author is careful not to say that dogs from kill shelters and rescue organizations are the only adoption options, but that these creatures offer us unique blessings.
