A nice fluffy story, but I did find it lacked a lot of the tension and fun of the previous books in this series.

I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this title from Pocket Books and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

“The Dare and the Doctor” is a nicely written friends-to-lovers story (a sadly underused plot in romance!) about a pair of penpals, amateur botanist Margaret and professional doctor Rhys, whose relationship develops naturally over the course of a long acquaintance. I thoroughly enjoyed fully 90% of this book; the twist in the last 10% wasn’t terrible, just disappointing and unnecessary to the story that had been told to that point. Still, if you’ve enjoyed Kate Noble’s other books, you’ll like this one, too!
