Good introductory book for kids (and their caregivers!) who want to learn more about gardening and easy projects. One minor ding: the quick and easy birdbath is located about a foot off the ground, ready striking distance for cats. Otherwise, enjoyable and creative.

This is deliberate fun for the child who decides he wants to learn how to garden. An attractive and slim book with large and small colorful pictures, it will capture your child's imagination with seasonal projects, such as how to make a sun map, a newspaper pot, and what to feed worms. Yet, it advises checking with parents at appropriate times.

This book is a great project discovery for a school class, a family, or an individual!

Decent portions of science and hands-in-the-dirt learning, this book offers several good starting projects for the new gardener.

Good for 8-12 who have a designated place in the garden to explore the plant life cycle with minimal supervision.
