Very moving. His search for his father and attempts to find out exactly what had happened to him in prison. Ongoing campaign of advocacy and meetings with politician's and his family and friends to piece together the truth.

It is true, as it is written on the cover of this book, that every time after postponing the reading, I wanted to immediately to continue reading... But, in the end, there is no denouement; there is no unraveling of knots, only hints on it. The whole book you’re waiting for answers to the questions, and in the end it turns out that only a part of them was answered, and even that was not a straightforward answer.
The author tries to inspire to reader, the idea of “what good man was the protagonist’s father, what a worthy one.” But after you learn some facts from his life, there is a conclusion that he was not all so wonderful human been, at least in his attitude towards women who loved him.

This is the story of a young boy whose mother dies and whose father remarries a young woman. The father is abducted. Similar in theme to "In the Country of Men".

I dragged myself through this book to its conclusion. Father disappearing and seeming to to nowhere. Would not recommed this book - what was the point to it all?
