This is the remarkable story of one endearing dog's search for his purpose over the course of several lives. More than just another charming dog story, this touches on the universal quest for an answer to life's most basic question: Why are we here? Surprised to find himself reborn as a rambunctious golden haired puppy after a tragically short life as a stray mutt, Bailey's search for his new life's meaning leads him into the loving arms of 8-year-old Ethan. During their countless adventures Bailey joyously discovers how to be a good dog. But this life as a beloved family pet is not the end of Bailey's journey. Reborn as a puppy yet again, Bailey wonders, will he ever find his purpose? Heartwarming, insightful, and often laugh out loud funny, this book is not only the emotional and hilarious story of a dog's many lives, but also a dog's eye commentary on human relationships and the unbreakable bonds between man and man's best friend. This story teaches us that love never dies, that our true friends are always with us, and that every creature on earth is born with a purpose.

A Dog’s Purpose by W. Bruce Camerson follows the many reincarnations of a dog on a journey with a human named Ethan. This is a heartwarming book that shows the strong bond between humans and dogs. It is heartwarming funny, and will stick with you for a long time. It deals with many sensitive topics, such as death, alcoholism, and shooting. It is interesting to see and hear what our friendly poochs may think of us and what we do. The author makes it clear that, even though it's from the dog's perspective, everything is understandable.

A Dog’s Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron is a touching, charming, wonderfully written book with a heartwarming plot. This book follows the story of Bailey the dog, through the course of several lives, while he tries to find out what his purpose on this earth is. Written from a dog’s perspective, Bailey experiences many different owners and experiences on his journey too figure out his purpose. The story is touching and provides an accurate window into a dog’s head. This book is touching, being narrated by the charming Bailey, who is a wonderful mixture of love, humor, and loyalty. The book is also wonderfully written, simple to understand yet charming and captivating. The plot is simple, about a boy and his dog, but deals with a deeper question that we all seek to answer, what is our purpose? I feel that A Dog’s Purpose by Cameron W. Bruce was an enjoyable book overall. While many parts were sad or depressing, it kept me reading. I had to read this book as an independent reading assignment for my english class so I’m really glad I chose it. In this story, a boy convinces his parents to let him keep a puppy, Buddy, which they take some time to think about. I can say that there were some pretty interesting parts that made me want to keep reading even more. For example, my favourite part has to be when Buddy is a german shepherd, Ellie, and she is a very good police dog. Also, if you’re someone that doesn’t necessarily like stories pretty much going all over the place, plot wise, I wouldn’t recommend this for you. While it isn’t that difficult to read, it can be slightly confusing at times. In my opinion A Dog’s Purpose was written to show us that you cannot determine your path by what happens right now, it’s what you do that counts. You can find your purpose as time progresses and you will have people in your life that support you in every way. Lastly, I would rate this a 4.5/5 stars.

This is one of the best books I have EVER read!! Amazing read from the first page to the last. At some points you laugh out loud and some points makes you cry. At any age you can enjoy this book, but you would have to be about 12 to understand fully everything that it's talking about, but really good for any age. I couldn't put this book down! I love this book and I am sure that you will too. Read this book!!!

No five stars for the greatest fiction book ever written but I enjoyed the book the entire time. I laughed, I cried, I thought a lot about my precious dog. If you've ever known a "good dog" this book is for you!

An emotional story of one dog, Bailey, and his unyielding everlasting connection to his boy, Ethan, and what it means to 'be a good dog'; Sweet, Touching and Endearing throughout.

The movie of the same name was based upon this book. Although the movie strays a bit from the source material anyone who has seen the film will love this book and will not be able to put it down without tears in the their eyes.

This is one of those books that really brings out your emotions. Joy, hope, anger, sadness. Mr. Cameron is masterful in his prose, and knows just how to tug on your strings without making the story horrible or saccharine. Well done.

"Bailey, Bailey, Bailey, I'm going to miss you , doodle dog," Ethan whispered in my ear. His breath was warm and delightful. I closed my eyes at the sheer pleasure of it, the sheer pleasure of love from the boy, love by the boy."
