This is one of my favourite movies of all time. It is full of joy and humour. There are lessons to be learned here about kindess and compassion. A great look at what life if like inside a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in India.
I highly recommend this film.

Worthwhile movie, based on the true events, in the actual monastery. Well-made. Interesting. Great shots and scenes. I wouldn't exactly call it a comedy, though. I am not sure why it was described that way. There are humorous events, including the pranks they play on each other.. Monks play themselves. The movie is about their lives in the monastery, and we get to know a number of them. I recommend it.
