I always look forward to reading a Jo Nesbo novel. This one did not disappoint. The only thing that I did not enjoy had nothing to do with the story itself. It had to do with the corrections made to the writing, in ink! If you think …

A fast paced and clever thriller with irreplaceable Harry Hole up to the job once again no matter what it costs him. I always bring a Jo Nesbo's novel on long plane trips and this one did the trick again : we're already landing ?!

As always: If you like the Harry Hole series, you'll most likely also enjoy this book. Nesbø has a bit of a different approach this time with how he builds up the guessing game about the possible perpetrator, therefore it would be good if…

slow to start, but became gripping from just before half-way and kept up the tension to the end. Of course he needed to survive, but it looked touch-and-go at one stage.
and, of course, a tantalising glimpse of unfinished business

All of Nesbo's books are highly suspenseful and well plotted but sometimes I get tired of the lead characters. I'll read a few by this authour then go months before I pick up another one.
Nesbo is always entertaining though somewhat long winded with explicit details and past history of minor characters. THIRST might have been rated 3+ stars if the author had simply finished his manuscript before the last 30 pages; which…

Brilliant and thrilling novel by Jo Nesbo. He is one the best novelist in thriller genre. Harry Hole come out of his depressed life to find the killer who is thirsty for blood.

Another serial killer on the loose in Oslo, gruesome murders, corrupt police, Rakel in peril: call Harry Hole out of retirement! The usual multiple plot twists with false leads are here and there is poetic justice in the ending, but this…

This was Jo Nesbo's latest novel on Inspector Harry Hole, #11, and was a very quick read - making me wish it would never end OR that the author was publishing #12 in the series.

I think I have read all of the Harry Hole books by Nesbo. I must confess that I often get confused by the story and the characters. This book is quite clear, Oslo has a murderer on the loose who has “vampiric” tendencies. Harry who has…
Persevered with Nesbo's long paragraphs of fillers for 3/4 quarters of this novel in which his characters ruminate about a topic of interest to them. Whether its about music, American Indian practices, vampire studies - it was…

Disappointing. Too much imagination, too much plot and not enough literary development. Way below Mankel's average effort. Very bloody, lack of subtle sensibility.

One of my favourite series & maybe my expectations were unrealistic following "The Son" & "Police" which were both amazing reads. Took a while to get into this one. Harry Hole is in a reflective mood due to a personal crisis & the…

Maybe it's just me or maybe my expectations were too high but I found this to be a disappointment after Police and The Son. Overly long , kind of dull, too many false endings and extraneous plot lines. Not the page turner I had hoped for.
