Lots of characters, hard to keep straight in audio version, even with different narrators. Fascinating. The worst kind of thinking that no one wants to think about, much less acknowledge, doing. Repercussions of depression...? Being…

Great book - deep character development, lovely unexpected turns and the right amount of suspense to keep me engaged. I actually listened to this on the play along and got to enjoy the British accents. It made dishes and household tasks…

Maybe I listened to a different version than the other reviewers: I couldn't really tell the difference from the voice of one character over the other, and all the jumping from one point of view to another didn't help. I felt like stopping…

Thrillers are not my favorite genre, but it's worth commenting that if you enjoyed the movie then you may enjoy reading or listening to the book. I have found the author's version is usually much better than what makes it to T.V. or the…

This book was a book that captured and enamoured me quickly that I had read this book in the first 24 hours that I had got the book. The book is told in three different perspectives and Hawkins does a really good job giving each good…

I liked the book pretty well, but I listened to it as an Audiobook and I had to listen to the first few chapters twice because the first time through it was so confusing. Maybe I'm just a bit dumb, but I think it would have been helpful to…

Excellent voice work is the only thing that kept me listening if I'm honest. I'm not a fan of books where everyone is unlikable, and that's exactly what this book features. Everyone was so self absorbed I just couldn't care about them. …

Fantastic mystery, who done it book! It starts off a little slow but totally worth it. Rachel, Anna and Megan all got on my nerves, but Rachel was the worst for me. But.. everyone has their faults and the book will explain their stories…

"You'll love it!", they said. "The story is amazing!", they said. I wouldn't go so far as to say you'll love it, but if you enjoy suspense/thriller/murder mystery books, you'll likely want to give it a read. I made it 2/3 of the way…

Listened to the first disc today. I will be returning this audiobook as soon as possible. Not my cup of tea. Tedious and boring.

Agree that the three different voices for the 3 narrators makes this most listenable. Their English accents helps anchor the story in its actual location of the story. I recommend the audio version to reading the book.

Alright, time to reflect. I thoroughly the use of the cast of voice actors. By doing this the book became more alive easier to follow. However, it was rather frustrating when Rachel opened up another can of gin and tonic. But she was a…

I loved this Audio Book. The different voices were great. It made you really get to know each character. I highly recommend this Audiobook. Be patient with the accents at first, and before you know it you will not even notice it.

Loved this audio book. The 3 actresses playing the women were incredible - they made it so easy to get involved with each character- flaws and all! I hope the movie lives up to the book - Emily Blunt is perfectly cast as Rachel.

I love this audio-book. It was worth every nano-second I put in it. Very thrilling. One way or the other you might identify with Rachel the flaws, she is so human.

I must be the only one that found this far less than claimed, expected or enjoyed. What a huge disappointment - quick return.

Pretty good. Darn good in fact for a first time novelist. Categorized as a "thriller", the story is really more a traditional mystery. Well written and structured. A woman sees some unusual events while passing by a small suburban…

This is the first book I felt moved to write a review for- I found this story raw- gripping and hard to pull away from until I finished it. Not always enjoyable but captivating!

I often hear the title of this book in comparison with Gone Girl; while good, one can tell this is Hawkins' first novel. The writing style isn't as fluid as Flynn's; there were often minute details repeated; and it seemingly took a bit to…

I listened to this book on audio and was rapt throughout many days of commuting. Like other reviewers have pointed out, it is a typical (yet well done) staple of the psychological thriller/mystery genre. If you enjoyed the hard hitting…

What Paula Hawkins really gets right is knowing her genre. This is a psychological thriller that is as disturbing as it is compelling. I felt dread listening to the book, and I couldn't stop listening either--I had to know what happened…
