Holes in your favorite clothes? Don’t throw them out! Bring them in and learn a simple old repair method to fix them.
---
Darning is a method of repairing holes in fabric by weaving new threads over the damaged area. It has most commonly been employed to repair knits like sweaters and socks, but can be used on any fabric. Once you learn how to darn, it can become a relaxing new hobby that extends the life of your clothes, keeping them out of the landfill.
In this program, you’ll learn to darn by repairing your own garments. Bring in any article of clothing that has a hole 2 inches or less in diameter, and we’ll supply the tools, materials, and tutorials you need to repair them. If you want to learn, but don’t have anything to fix, no problem. We’ll have some spare items you can work on.
