Beaver Creek Wetlands Association presents “Monarch Migration: A Journey to Mexico.”

Learn about the monarch butterfly life cycle and the unique generation that migrates to Mexico. Monarch butterflies will likely be listed as an endangered species this year. Get ideas on how you can help all generations of monarchs including those during their migration. After the presentation, join us outside for a fun citizen science opportunity. We will tag and release monarchs to begin their journeys to Mexico.

BCWA submits tagging data to Monarch Watch, a nonprofit based out of the University of Kansas, to aid researchers in learning about monarch habitats and migration. Learn more about this nationwide project at monarchwatch.org.
